Do you know about Sound Explorer? That's a feature in Firestorm that helps you locate the object that's producing that mysterious, annoying, or obnoxious sound in your proximity.
In the menus at the top of the screen, hit World > Sound Explorer
You'll see a list of sounds that have played in your vicinity since you've logged in. Left-click one to highlight it. "Play Locally" will play it for you so you know you found the right one. "Look At" will move your camera to focus on the object. "Blacklist" will shut it up by adding it to your Asset Blacklist.
