If that's the only way to get in touch with someone, I usually reach out and give a short intro, and then ask for an email to send the formal invite.

cristal18 for me is a big NO, pwera lang kung kakilala mo mismo ung nagsend ng event invite.
ToshiaAcrun I agree. formal kasi pag thru email talaga. kaso some people are lazy checking their email.
adammordo kaso the community manager is an "influencer" and former gf of a film director. this girl doesn't know how to do the works managing social media accounts (as my observation handled that same account last year, I achieved a lot.)
email is rarely used nowdays in my line of work... i have big shot clients and we mostly talk via fb messenger
ToshiaAcrun mostly, Viber, email and WhatsApp sa work ko as our way ng communication though as a blogger, email talaga especially invites. pag kilala ko ung PR, invites sa Messenger will do, but DM sa IG and Twitter is a no-no sa akin.

cultural difference na rin siguro but we have to be open to the new ways of communication
yea pero alam mo un. kahit 8 years na ako sa pagblog, yun pa rin kasi ang ginagamit ko pa rin way
if i dont know the person's email, baka dun na. i dont give out blogger bcards naman kasi. hehe
