[FGO] I really hate how the 'accepted' Romani ship (ESPECIALLY IN RP) that isn't Guda has shifted from Da Vinci to the part 1.5 girl (spoilers inside for post part-1 FGO, that's post-Solomon singularity)

I never really got behind Romani/Davinci because I ship Romani/Gudako
but at least it has basis for existing
They know each other for 10-ish years?

She's the person that, up until Gudako AT LEAST, is the closest person to him, the one he confides in
and who ROMANI ACTUALLY KNOWS
Romani/Gudako depends on how you see his interactions with her and whether you decide he falls in love with them (though they seem to definitely fall for him) over the year
Romani x EFFIN SHEBA
does not have ANY OF THAT
In his life, Romani met Sheba exactly NEVER in canon
Sheba met Romani NEVER
Sheba knew King Solomon. King Solomon was nothing but a system, a puppet that had so little freedom that he couldn't even think about the fact that he had no freedom
In other words, Sheba never knew Solomon as a person at all, she knew only his puppet-master, and she fell in love with that fake being that existed as 'Solomon'
And she still loves that person who is literally just not Romani
it's not even summoned Solomon, who actually has free will but doesn't know how to express it, and it's certainly not Solomon who chose to become human and spent a decade being human
Romani is so unlike Solomon that Sheba probably wouldn't like him at all
Basically she'd have to be in love with the 'idea' of him
And Solomon himself never felt any love for his wives, because he chose them all for very specific purposes. He didn't have real feelings like that,
which is part of Goetia's problem
There's no reason to believe that Romani loves Sheba - out of ALL HIS OTHER WIVES
when 'Sheba' was made by Lev, clearly chosen to be interchangeable with 'Shiva' in Japanese, and literally just did what her abilities wwere anyway
It's no indicator of love AT ALL
and yet I see SO MUCH dumb stuff about how his type is (insert descriptions of Sheba) and how he has a cute wife and etc etc blah blah
Sheba was Solomon's wife. Not Romani's
Let Romani be Romani, not the system that he found a way to grow out of in spit of
anyway tl;dr it's super annoying that it's blatantly the 'hot new thing'

(Gudako depends on if the player/person hates Guda ships obvs)

And just, I deal with it a lot in the Fate RP circles I see. Most Romanis are super up for Roman/Guda too, but Roman/DV isn't even mentioned
and there's a lot of 'Sheba is my wife' nonsense
It's also alarmingly common in the r/grandorder subreddit
generic Roman stuff, EVEN ROMAN/DV and ROMAN/GUDA stuff
gets invaded by 'but queen of sheba'
