Also, today I learned that cheetahs have anxiety. I guess cause they're only sort of mid-range predators, and Lions often kick their asses and I guess they eat too many cheddar flavored corn puffs or whatever. But like in the wild they can usually work that nervous energy off by running away from it. (Can't catch me, scary thoughts!)
I had heard that because I saw a presentation at a zoo once about the dog companion they had gotten for a cheetah so it wouldn't feel stressed out.
But like in captivity they can't really do that and I guess it's hard to give something that runs 70mph a goddamn valium, so instead they get... SERVICE DOGS. Cheetahs get anxiety-service-puppies and that is both kinda disturbing and kinda adorable. adisturbable.
