- it wasn't revealed that max was in the plumbers despite vilgax appearing... and the show was vague on if max and phil actually knew him (phil knows the omnitrix's name, and its function, but not what it looks like)
- despite this, max clearly had some involvement with aliens (rustbucket is suspiciously souped up)

I haven't been watching the reboot, to be honest. The first season didn't win me over.

Though Max as an ex-Forever Knight would be interesting

I heard the second season has more solid writing but I also skimmed through the first so yeah

- max once noted that fighting mutants on bikes reminded him of "the old days"
- max isn't said to be like, an earth plumber like the original
- he noted that he's been challenged to duels before and he's used to them (but got over his pride)
- HUGE stretch but there's literally an episode where max chooses a medieval-themed restaurant over an alien one

Maybe I'll try watching a little of Season 2. I wanted to like the reboot. D:

I really enjoy all the little details they're giving to vilgax (thanks blesséd coela) like the lil paw claws and the tentacle hands and when he gets frustrated his hands untangle into the tentacles and he runs on all fours..... classic

- an odd detail was that max was out and about """night fishing""" when the omnitrix crashed to earth so he may have still been the intended wielder?? but the explanation that ben got it because his dna is similar enough doesn't work because billy billions put it on in a time loop. Suspicious.
