1. BB/Kaz. I am not that SHIPPY abt Snake/Otacon either, but I get it. BB/Kaz...like I respect that it's canon but it just has no spark for me at ALL.

4. My one real NoTP is Frank/Naomi and fortunately it's quite rare. It's funny bc i have a huge incest squick but MGS so gleefully deconstructs the concept of 'family' that I can usually roll with it - Solid/Liquid I'm fine with, and I can tolerate BB/Solid. But Frank/Naomi is past my line

9. I find Kaz super uninteresting - in canon I can deal with that, but i've not been involved in the fandom the last few years bc literally everything has Kaz in it now. Also, Rose, but she is meant to be hated, as is Campbell (Which Is Why They Are Perfect Together, Roy/Rose 4 Lyfe).

14. i am not sure what opinions abt MGS fandom are popular or not popular! maybe just that tumblr is a useless site for fandom lol

im more into twitter fandom now but im still feel very disconnected

or......well, MGSV gave me no fandom spark at ALL. i left that game less interested in doing MGS fandom than I was before playing it. yet obviously a lot of other ppl felt differently. so i guess that is an unpopular opinion

i feel WEIRD about mgsv, it's like every time i have a different opinion, i love the meta topics about language mostly because anthropology, i like the plot twist, i love how they destroyed huey and i think the chapter about killing everyone on your base was very good

but it's like it lacked of something essential the other games always had

CelesJessa 7 - OOH. i've gone in the opposite direction on more aspects of it i think. I would say tho, I used to really like Cloud/Tifa and now I'm not so sure I can go there.

also I feel you on MGSV in general. It's always weird because I was SO DEEP in the fandom and then my interest just like... evaporated after MGS4/the continuation of Big boss stuff

psychoraven Huey's sheer awfulness is a high point, for sure. i think the best i ever felt playing it were the Quiet fight and Huey being tortured - those two scenes felt so metal gear, you know?

it probably also didn't help that that was where my ability to play the games without buying a new system cut off too so :'D

I LOVE PAZ and augh it kills me how Amanda, like nearly all PW characters, gets introduced, gets all her lovely audio library content, then does nothing again for the entire game

also, this is a big aspect in which MGS went downhill as a series: the switch from codec conversations to audio tapes. Goodbye every dynamic 1-on-1 character relationship
