the memorial is unusual because it is a much older cross (probably 17th century) which was repaired and re-dedicated as a war memorial.

very interesting. 90% of all Australian towns have a war memorial of some description somewhere in them, you know ;-)

mollyjane: the memorial remembers 4 men of the parish of Llanwenarth Citra who fell in the Great War 1914-1918.
