The first was the actual groomer, the second was the coworker that went after it with the bite buster gloves. Spoiler, those gloves don't work on cats nearly as well as they do on dogs. Also, the cat literally ripped the glove off of her and bit her a second time.
I don't imagine it'll come to that, there's a several strikes kind of thing and it's not like it was unprovoked. The cat freaked out at the sound of water and went into a SUPER fight or flight mode
It'll probably be home-quarantined and checked up on again later. It had zero aggression beforehand, let the groomer trim its nails and put softpaws on even. It was only the introduction of water that led to the fiasco
oh good. that was the first thing I was afraid of when the urgent care had to make a bite report on Misty. I'm glad a double bite at a groomer isn't any worse than what actually happened!
It was only a 9 month old, so, adult size but still a baby. It was a hella scary moment and our groomer gals have sore, swollen hands, but they've gotten the requisite care and they'll be back... though I won't be surprised if the "collateral damage" girl never tries to help with a cat again. I've never seen her as badly shaken as she was
