we're short as hell because its sunday

and we already have no staff, but weekends are 10 times worse

most of the staff who are here are part time teenagers, which means they give no shits

had to build trays this morning (i have to build trays every day)

they give 3 servers 30 minutes to build 100+ trays

doable if everyone is on time and works at a reasonable pace

but my 3rd helper got stuck doing a 30 person dining room on her own this morning, so she didnt show

and the other helper i had, while very nice, is thw slowest, most scatterbrained woman i have ever met

needs constant direction. shes already been training for like... 3 times longer than average Nd shes still not there

so i had to do the first 3rd of the work alone, jump to the last 3rd while she took the 2nd

and then jump back in to help her finish her part too

so like... 80% of the work of 3 people, by myself

we're short enough on cooks that all 3 of our current management team are here and working in the kitchen

and whoever loaded the large hot boxes didnt pay attention to where they were shoving things and spilled soup all over inside mine

10 minute clean up for me, swearing the whole time

got all my hot food back to my satellite kitchen and immediately spilled more soup, this time all over my floor

and as im crouched on the floor trying to clean (which is hard when uve sudden realized that one of the other floors took ur mop without asking)

my manager comes in and asks me to work late

absolutely not. i dont care how short we are. if they think im staying in this mess one minute longer than i have to, theyre crazy

all i wanna do is go home rn, but we've got game tonight and im not going to be the reason we cancel

hard enough to get all these dumb boys together as it is

i hope its a good session, because i need some fun

and if anyone starts drama i will pack up my shit and leave because i just cannot today
