It's like my best friends game too

But they know I'm in multiple games already

and it's very exhausting for me but I know the game makes my friend happy. but I really dislike his dm style and the game itself. everyone else is essentially a new player besides me

I know, it's just going to be tough no matter what. I know my friend very well and no matter what he will take it personally. He will understand, but regardless he will still be hurt

Yeah but, and this is a hard lesson to learn, you're not responsible for his feelings
coffee saint

If he's hurt then that's on him

And if it helps, I felt this way about the Shadowrun game I left that I was hating--I was really concerned about it failing without me. But the truth was it's fine and the people who like it are still doing it
Meanwhile I have time for games and things I wanna do
