Ohhhh, thank you, that could be so useful! I thought getting a sewing machine would open up an entire world of fashion for me, but NOPE HAHAHA PATTERNS MAKERS ARE JUST AS RESTRICTIVE

there’s also always draping! bodies vary a heck of a lot once you get into plus size, so buying and padding out a dress form may be your best bet.

If you build a bodice black it’s very easy to draft vintage patterns to plus sizes! In fact I’d recommend a bodice block even if you aren’t plus sized because most vintage patterns assume you’re wearing shapewear which the modern woman no longer does
There are a lot of really easy and great tutorials online for building your own bodice block, some of them specifically geared to plus sizes, and also how to alter vintage patterns to plus sizes using blocks because there is a huge crossover of plus size sewing to vintage sewing because a lot of vintage styles are flattering on plus sized bodies
