I found a bag with several small balls of grey yarns in it, along with a short needle. I think it was meant to be a hat, but I have no idea of the pattern.

the yarn came from Fancy Tiger Crafts in Denver, from a trip to visit my daughter, but there’s no other info. So frustrating!
