There is so much going on here, quite a lot of it heavy, even disturbing things. The implication that Rachel may have been trying to trap Tobias as a human? The sheer melding and dichotomy between Taylor and her Yeerk?

this was the first book in my reread that i hadn't already read as a kid, and boy, what a maiden voyage that was

esp. considering tobias was always my favorite...............

Tobias books are always heavier, but this one is by far his heaviest.

I really appreciated t he bit with Ax and Tobias regarding Andalite culture

And touching on Ax's acceptance of Tobias as family

Even though I'm still miffed that we never got to see the reveal to him

Seriously, why did we never see that conversation? It would've been fascinating!

Also Tobias' words to Rachel to not be Taylor... Tobias genuinely gets the best emotional lines in the series
