work is hectic and I'm loading up a ton of overtime but that's fine because I found out my insurance actually sucks as hard as we originally feared

we breathed easy for a while because we thought it capped out at 5.5k out of pocket, but the union rep DH talked to gave him bad information

but nah, just got a bill after adjustment and it's almost 15k

doable, just gonna have to be a total cheapass for a few years, bluh

I'm deeply unimpressed, but there's not really much to be done about it so I'm going to just embrace it.

I mean, I used to be homeless; I was really good at stretching a dollar for a long-ass time. I've kind of forgotten how to do it and it'll be interesting to learn how to do it again

and I mean yeah, at least i didn't have to do radiation therapy so it's not nearly as bad and expensive as it could have been
