Oh Rei, I'm so sorry

She was diagnosed having slight heart murmurs in May, but in time, she slowly collected fluid in her lungs, making it hard for her to breathe.

The vets did everything they could to try and pull the fluid out of her lungs, but it was at an advanced stage that they could do that for months and the result would have been the same.

She knew it was time. She knew how much we loved her and didn’t want her to go yet. But even in the face of death, she was such a strong soul.

We hate ourselves for having to do what we did. But, it was for the best...you weren’t suffering anymore and we couldn’t be selfish to make you suffer for another few months just so we could keep you.

You were an amazing dog. I missed you when I went to the Philippines for school, I missed you when I went back to work for a year, I miss you now that I can’t hear you barking.

Mornings won’t ever be the same again.
