Tomorrow we'll be starting Megamorphs #3: Elfangor's Secret! Remember, double-sized books are on the slot for double the time, so this one's going to go for two weeks instead of just one
But for now, let's talk about how Applegate used foreshadowing and continuity in this series, now that we've got a good (and a not so good) example of it thanks to our recent book
We don't see the Yeerk Peace Movement after this, or at least not for more than a blip or two in passing comment, which isn't all that great a record considering at least one of them knows exactly where to find an Animorph now. What happens if that Controller gets a new Yeerk?
But in saving Aftran, we clearly see how the morphing technology can be used to help creatures that have needs that aren't being met physiologically, which comes up again at the end with the Taxxons
(Obviously we're looking at this from hindsight and several years on, so we have a huge advantage over Applegate and the ghostwriters, but no story is perfect and analysis isn't the same as attacking)
