[real life thing] I was hit by a car today. No real damage aside from a few scrapes, but it was definitely not a fun thing. I was crossing the street, the light was green, and I guess it changed halfway through, because he turned and bumped into me. Knocked me off my feet, spilled my drink, and that's about it.
then he drove me to where I was going (once the ambulance people 7 the cops did their thing to make sure I wasn't hurt) and gave me $100 to cover what I was getting there, and it also paid for a pizza.

[hugs in return] it wasn't the best thing, though I'm also glad all that happened were a few scrapes. Lucky timing on the fact he was turning and not going at full speed.

on the whole I'd say it mostly unsettled me aside from the scrapes. And I am lucky for that.
