I found a new job and in the following 2 weeks I have gotten 5 interview requests, including for a) the long-shot position I really want and 
a couple others that are far more in line with what I want to do than what I got. Where were you??

ty ty, i'm going to do the good 3 and was hoping i wouldn't feel my usual crippling terror towards them since i don't desperately need those positions but nah, nothing on this earth is going to make interviews feel ok for me~

Yeah do the interviews anyway. Worst case is you keep the one you accepted, best case is getting something better!
