how terrible an idea is it to try to have the "you are doing an annoying thing, please stop" conversation with a housemate two months before you move out

because my brain says "very terrible, you're only here for two more months, so suck it up and don't bring on any more drama than is strictly necessary"

but my heart says FOR FUCK'S SAKE, IF YOU'RE GOING TO DO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER GAMING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AT LEAST USE A GODDAMN HEADSET

I mean, my housemate, bless her heart, has no indoor voice, so I'm always going to be able to hear her contributions to the voice chat from three states away

but I don't need to hear everyone else's

she has the volume up really high

and she exclusively plays late at night, which makes sense because, you know, that's when she has free time, but also theoretically people might want to sleep, you know

and by "people" I mean me because my room adjoins the living room, where she plays, and the other housemate's doesn't so I don't think she hears it

That sounds like a big enough deal to at least bring up

yeah if anything only living here for two months is an excellent argument in favor of having this conversation because if it goes poorly you are getting the fuck outta dodge regardless

but yeah that's super obnoxious
