I now have official confirmation that I will always have to go through security every time I enter the building at work, and will never get to use the ID that I have that is supposed to, like, let me not inconvenience myself at least twice a day. 
....why??? This seems so inefficient!

because the police union gets more money when they have to send more cops to work as extra security for longer or something, is what I was told
that is such garbage. are you being paid for the time you spend waiting at security?

well, i can't clock in until i've gone through security, so i am late literally every day, but i also am not paid hourly and also also have stopped caring bc i am not losing sleep over this, so
