Heck yes I know what I'm checking out when I get off work
ooooh
pocketspy: A little bit! I like to think of it as a combination of Lore and... My Favorite Murder. I tell stories, but I'm telling them to my friend, who has snarky or helpful commentary.
So it's a lot more casual and it isn't just one person talking artfully into a microphone.
OOOH I searched castbox and it's there so I'm happy
YES, you can find it with castbox! c:
GOOD I'm really glad!
Ooooo, those are two good things to mash together.
Thank you everyone for the replurks ;;;;
I'm going to start looking into a better audio setup soon, since ours is... passable, but not stellar... and I want people to have as nice a listening experience as possible. :<
AND I TOTALLY TAKE TOPIC SUBMISSIONS, so if you like hearing us talk, y'all are totally welcome to shoot me an email at
morbidmomentpodcast@gmai... !
I'd love to hear from you guys.
I haven't listened to Lore since the host referred to the patriarchy as 'the biggest fairy tale of them all'
I'm glad to have something to replace it that's better
i don't suppose there's any transcripts available?
do you happen to have a link?
martienne: what episode did he say that in? I've not heard it yet!
I'd have to find it. I know he was talking about something like real life fairy tales because that was the segue he used to mention that little gem
pocketspy:
Here's a comment someone made about it on their facebook. I can't get the episode list to load though
There's also a comment about it
here
Holy hell, now I feel like I've wasted time investing in that podcast.
SicTheWolf: are you looking for a link to the Morbid Moment? I couldn't quite tell if you meant me or Lore stuff ;w;
And in general I think that the Lore guy is under pressure to make grandiose statements about society and the human condition because that's the show format he's built for himself... and he doesn't always think through those statements very well.
Or like, consider that they might be... problematic...
Which is the biggest reason I try to keep my format pretty casual, since I am not in a position to go "analyzing humanity" or whatever.
THOUGH, if y'all ever hear something like that from us, please feel free to call us out on it--because we try very hard to be considerate about that kind of stuff.
...also I didn't mean to analyze other podcasts in here but here I am
omg this is great, I'll be listening!
yeah, i still love Lore myself, but i do hope he'll... tone down the grandiose statements a bit
oh sorry yes! I meant morbid moment but I ended up finding one thank you :3
oh yeah, i finally got around to subscribing to your podcast on itunes! i'mma listen to it as soon as i can tear myself away from Rob Dyke, lol
i like your kazoo intro, lol
also! I'm on episode 4, and i really like the feel you guys have going on
it's not exactly polished to a fine shine, but it's just two friends shooting the shit about some monster myths
...i have to agree with you, about Twilight vampires i have to admit. Meyers made some damn interesting and even cool monsters, for all the ridiculous things she had them do
OH HEY if you're really going to do a vampire series, a. i love you for that, and b. pleaaaase talk about the Aswang
it's one of the more interesting vampire variants, i personally feel
