There's always Yukari if you need harassment help
Near deserves harassment, let's face it.
So what shall we do with this?
Well, I can throw Yukari with his eyepatch at you, or he just came back from the dead today so you can meet him in person full-standard. Eyepatch Yukari has depth perception problems. So, it'll depend which part of the timeline you want.
Depth-perception problems sound fun.
Alright, what does Near typically do? He's been such a shut-in since I arrived. Yukari will likely be out trying to train to adjust to his depth perception, or I can try to fling up something with a little more flair. Either way, you can expect unhindered trolling.
Near in general is the shut-in sort, but he does go out occasionally now. Mostly either to the shops or the orchards because what is going outside just because?
He still covers his face while going out, but Yukari will definitely recognize his voice. Even though he won't be being as pissy.
Yukari's such a shit. But, yes. I can work with shops or orchards. Either or is space for Yukari to move about, so he could definitely linger around those areas. Would you like to write the toplevel, or should I?
You can go for it. And Near will probably wind up creepily watching what he's doing. Because that's a thing Near does.
(And he's a shit too, so everything works!
)
Ah, in that case, I already have an ota, if you would like to see if that appeals to you.
Yeah, I can work with that.
Super awesome like a mega possum~ I love the Whammy's family~
They are such demented assholes.
But they're cute demented assholes. Who all need hugs.
Boo, Near doesn't like hugs.
(Which means somebody should totally hug him sometime.)
Lol, I don't have any huggers. I mean... Shuuya might do it, just to annoy the guy. But I stopped playing feely types. My brain doesn't work with them anymore.
I've never played super touchy-feely types.
I've hardly ever played emotionally open people at all, come to think of it.
We can figure out a Casa Wammy's thing, I'm sure.
I would love to do something involving the fingerpuppets since I flamed out on that event, but Near has been keeping his end of the bargain on the "no toys in the common areas" thing.
Mello would side-eye those creepy things so much.
Lol, can I pay to see this?
Psh, like you need to pay.
I mean, if Near needed to explain something, he would need visual aids . . .
Toys are great visual aids what are you talking about.
And he has no shame about that. Twenty years old, dead-eyed, flat-voiced . . . and plays with puppets and action figures. This is fine.
He needed all the major players represented okay.
Because you cheated on him last time, Mello
Yeah, that's something Mello would notice. The puppet of him is way more detailed and carefully crafted than the others.
He needs a proper voodoo dol
He would probably like those.
He actually does get violent with his toys when he's pissed.
And I love that even though he worked really hard on Mello's, it's still creepy and bizarre-looking. Because Near sucks as an artist.
He has a very narrow set of talents.
If it's not strongly and directly related to detective work, chances are high that Near will be bad at it.
Mello is much more well-rounded than him, even if he's a mess himself.
Mello definitely has more passionate sensations compared to the rest of them. He does tend to play more as the Jerk With A Heart Of Gold, than at the same dissonance as the other two children.
He is the one who acknowledges he has Emotions.
Not that it saves him from being emotionally fucked up
In my headcanon, Near has always been a distant weirdo, but he was less of one before Wammy's.
Were Wammy's kids just like... subjects of parental abandonment, or...?
And as I have it in my head, Near hid in the closet and heard his parents being killed. That's not traumatizing at all shut up.
Deathnote is just a series of trauma trains, isn't it?
I would love to get that out somehow.
Trauma, and genuises being assholes, yes.
Shuuya's going to get along great in Hadriel. Just.... Trauma piles of assholes everywhere
Of course, he also wound up just sitting with the bodies after he thought it was safe to come out. Didn't move until someone finally called the cops and they picked him up and carried him out.
Hours sitting next to dead parents. Can't have been healthy.
Kid needed therapy, got Wammy's instead
Probably the story of every Wammy's kid. "Needed therapy, got this instead."
So, I know there was L, Near, Mello, and Beyond. I assume there were more, particularly in the failed products line?
But yeah, there were a lot of failed products.
Beyond was "1st generation", Near and Mello are "4th generation". So there's some space in between there.
I thought Beyond was imitating L's appearance? Not the other way around
Well, Wammy's wasn't specifically about raising superdetectives until L came on the scene and was so amazing at it.
The generations are generations of successors.
It was still a place for gifted orphans, it just wasn't so specific.
