Hey guys! So we noticed that on the powers sections, people are not finding ways to mute down powers while in the Library itself.

This is actually super important and I want to clarify what we mean.

In the section under powers, we are giving you a chance to decide how to mute/nerf them down on your own to give you a choice. Saying you will not hurt the Library will not be an acceptable answer and we will be asking for revisions if this is all that is said.

We understand that no one will intentionally hurt The Library. But accidents DO happen.

By limiting powers, it eliminates a lot of the possibilities for accidents to happen.

If you do not offer a way to limit powers, we will ask for revisions and possibly assign a cap for you and lbr... no one wants to be limited by someone else

Thea's powerless so I think she's fine? But she does have archery gear.

I think unless Elves suddenly wield a ring of power, they should be fine.

Just give the powers section good and thorough though when it's a person that has magic or super human powers

Most regular human beings SHOULD be fine. But please ask if you aren't sure

Healing abilities, impenetrable skin, buff like powers are all fine.

No telekinesis... mainly cause the books can and sometimes will be volatile. It's best not to move them

Telepaths are fine, that's more player to player permissions

Same with Empaths

Super high tech will likely be powered down aside from simple functions

If you bring a mega canon into the Library, it will not work.

only thing I'll have to tone down is the timestream stuff for Four

One example is like Owen's pet raptor. She's there, but she's very sedate and mini sized while in the Library

That makes sense. Also remember... people that feel things like the timestream or the force... they likely CAN'T feel it there

The Library is outside of space and time. It is not connected immediately to your world

And it's not that I think anyone will do anything with those sort of things, but it is common sense when the place is set so away from every world. It's there... cause the door is there. But it has no power in the Library itself.

So I guess I mostly want to make sure it's okay- it's not the time/space sense exactly but that there's still a connection to the rest of my character's body where it's from.
(Clarification: Trance is technically two bodies. The avatar that interacts & the sun that's the actual, uh, her. Cut the connection and it's like disconnecting from the server)

Think of it this way...

The door to your world is there.

So the connection is there

It is just... quiet.

Now if you picked up the book that is your world.. you'd feel it like a live wire.

But it is NOT advisable to do that often if an all. Does that make sense?
