One Origin of Life (The Goddess Althena) and an Origin of Death (Zophar). Althena created four Divine Beings (The White Dragon, Black Dragon, Red Dragon, and Blue Dragon), AND a Sacred Race (albeit a singular

person, Lucia, who was the Princess of the home planet (there were two planets) who was tasked to revive all life on it) and could inherit Althena's powers, should the need arise).

AND THEN, Althena would reincarnate (Avatar theory) through-out humanity and eventually took the option to stop doing so and pass the torch. AND THEN+ an inhabitant could become the Champion of Althena by

passing the trials of her Divine Beings/Dragons, the Dragon Master. On top of that, her Divine Beings are powerful, but finite and had to produce off-spring to continue to protect the world.

And even then! It's not perfect because an Avatar of Althena could be captured, corrupted, and used, so it's not a perfect system, and the dragons could also be over-come. It's a very nice netting/setup imo.

And even then+ Zophar brought an evil being back to life who became the new Dragon Master AND had said Dragon Master drain the life/energy from the dragons and replace them with evil impersonations, iirc?

Which is a big block to the original story and shows that they don't want to just re-hash plots.
