what's the limit break?

Star Driver. I'm trying to base it on the lb he basically has in the show

when he's fighting big boss zarkon and is about to die he pulls out all the dregs of his energy and his rage and he makes a giant cannon appear on his lion. it shoots a huge laser beam

this laser beam was able to bust through defenses and destroy shields. it also had a knock back

since it's a limit break & is a last resort, you can go pretty high with damage & effects

i just don't know how damage works in the game. what is considered high, and what is low? is 10 dmg OP or wimp sauce?

does the lb require the use of his lion?

nah, i was just going to let him channel it through his sword

since he has a gunblade

i figure it works cause he's powering his will to survive and win through a medium., before it was his lion. now it's his weapon

You don't really have to quantify it in numbers, just saying 'high physical damage' or whatever is enough

10 dmg is pretty weak, it's more like Final Fantasy mechanics than D&D mechanics, so numbers are big -

but yeah, you don't have to quantify

because that'll be great to combo with, other people following that up to take advantage of lowered enemy defense

worst case scenario, they say edit it to make it weaker /shrug But I'm always a fan of going big to see if you can

i'm going to try to see if i can through in a chance of splash damage for 1/4 up to 3 adjacent targets

so do you think a laser is physical or magical? cause i'm thinking magical even if keith is gonna look like he's pulling one of squall's limit breaks out of his ass when he does it

it could be magical. there have been enemies/bosses that have exhibited physical or magical resistances, and I think a lot of people's attacks are very physical-based

so having a magic-based attack could be a good idea
