I use Afrin every day, once, only at night before bed. It's not good if I skip, but I'm ok during the day. I've told my dr and an ENT specialist, and neither freaked out

The ENT actually said "well, it's not great, but at least you're using the good stuff." :-P

But I have a friend who got addicted and had to use it all day or there was no breathing happening. That's a cycle that's hard to get out of

omg see I think I over used the crap out of it like every 2-3 hours

I didnt know it was addictive
CakeOrDeath

yeah that's a lot ... your sinuses will shrink and dry out but then freak out and over-compensate the other direction when it wears off, so you have to use again

so I quit cold turkey and believing that in 1 week my nose will go back to normal

I bought sea water natural but now I am going to google to see if people got addicted to that too because I am so freaked out

it's the freakiest thing to squirt 50 gals of water up your nose, but they seem to help a little

Afrin did it to me last year. Just quit cold turkey when you are ready. It sucks though

I did the cold turkey and it was better after a few days. Keep lip balm on at night or your lips will get cut and sores from mouth breathing. You can do this I promise.

You won't get addicted to nasal rinse, as long as it's just salt water. Should help too, even though it's kinda gross
