netflix upped the charge for Blue-Ray access from $1 per month to $4 bucks, in addition to the 16.99 I already pay. Are there alternatives?

Blockbuster has always = sux. Is $20.99 not a good value for the service as you use it?
Its fine, but the 400% increase in surcharge bugs the shit out of me. I just canceled the blueray end of it for now.

we just buy what we want now, especially since we don't watch a ton of movies. The new Blu-Ray discs w/ the extra DVD are perfect...
especially the Disney & Pixar stuff
I'd get Pinocchio for my son to watch, but that movie is just creepy!
