also cool thing to note for me: Demigods and Magicians happened post HoO. So Annabeth definitely has her hat now and also can apparently cast specials if she has the right knowledge a++ UNFORTUNATELY SHE DOES

i'm just amused at the fact that intellectually these two are similar but approaching things forever differently
