I WAS SUPER WARY.

but i think they did better than predicted tbh

like on one hand i feel like the subject matter could have been brought out more on all fronts because a lot of kids /don't know/ these days. esp about cambodia

but i think it served its purpose, too-- to have kids question and read and learn about those things

but them not really touching it as an actual open topic (cambodia death march/ antisemitism/holocaust/slavery) was good too because i feel like the writers understood they couldn't give it the right historical

justice in 30 minutes and ess. waited until the end where you can see farkle really break down about it and

zay with him.

you get an emotional feel and that human connection is v. important.
