so far, the things I think might be cool to teach are:
-MAYBE tips on finding stuff re: the wool things?
-spinning on a top whorl and bottom whorl spindle
- POSSIBLY how to construct a frame loom/backstrap loom
does that sound like a thing anyone would want to do?
and I think there's definitely an audience for that
just cause so many fiber tools are RIDONKULOUSLY expensive and it's like
'do I even want to do this?'
I think it's a great idea :3
now the question is whether I put it on Skillshare or Youtube
part of the reason I'm doing it is because there's like classes you can sign up to teach through some of the local colleges for stuff
so I'm doing this as kind of a practice run
that kinda sounds like skillshare might be a good venue, but otoh more people know YT :|a then again content can easily get lost/ignored that way
unless you've already built up a bit of a platform, that is
which is why I'm tempted to go Skillshare
might not be a bad idea :|a
I'm an internet-taught fiber artist, so I think this is excellent.
I literally learned all the knitting and crochet stitches from diagrams and videos.
that and an ungodly amount of books
also hey there's that MILLION POUNDS OF YARN from the other day all finished
You do such beautiful dye work and spinning. Do you ever work with non-wool yarn?
I like playing with silk too
I just didn't have any around
I need to get some silk hankies in
it does occur to me I may have put this up a little early.
oh just asking people at like 7 am
when a lot of people don't come on till later
