starting to think there is no point in even trying to keep the servers/whatever up and running. Been told "don't even try to use our image, it doesn't work, but it's easy to just install from scratch"

that very bad idea, as there isn't any clue how to install the boot iso, or how to boot from it. And if it's "easy" to do, then I should be able to install any OS I can get an ISO for.
