opinions conflict, people have their sides, but what's with all the mudslinging and self-righteousness

actually i was given an answer to this by a good friend, in a way of sorts. it's all emotion and people speaking from a place of pain, i suppose

but people's pain driving them to cause others pain cannot be justified. explained, yes, but not justified.
