OK, discovered a drawback of being based in the US. By the time I come into work the EU have already had 6 hours to create problems!
I could've told you that from having visited the USA myself. Europe's afternoon is the USA's morning (approximately).

The time zones need watching too. I tried 'phoning my penpal from Las Vegas, not knowing that her state, in Montana is on another zone, Mountain Time. It was later than I thought for them.
