LarryB has

been looking at the Guardian's website. If this happens, lots of people will lose their jobs, both within and outside the UK. The economic instability will sweep Trump into office.

does not trust that man with The Football.

there's been less than 1% difference between the two sides all night so far. Whichever way this goes, it's not going to be clear mandate.
dopiaza says

Ah, 2% now. Idiots.

voting, then saying "I didn't think it would count"...wha...? AMAZED!!
wirehead

doesn't entirely believe the "I didn't think it would count" narrative. Easier to say that than to get caught saying that they didn't want any more Slavic or Indian immigrants to the press.
LarryB is

generally pissed off that my index funds are all off 10%. Thanks elderly British xenophobes.

Won't take long until they recover... I'm guessing.

I still don't know how this thing will pan out, but the one thing I am certain of is that the rifts caused will take at least a generation to heal. Probably longer.

Apparently Article 50 states that the referendum is not binding. It must be taken to Parliament. But you probably already know this.

yes, this ref does not have to be officialized, legally speaking, but since the win-margin exceeds One Million votes, chances are it will be. Since Cameron is out, a populist will jump in & do the job.
