I'm having a lot of trouble comprehending the submission guidelines, lol. Trolling the forum now but I think I don't know what I don't know
oh go for it! what's the question?
our submission guides are REALLY confusing
i didn't understand them until i worked there
I get that the 640x800 is the preview size you submit. But if it was approved, what file format are they even looking for?
the halftone tutorial was awesome but then it looked like he turned everything back into a flat jpg at the end, don't they still need the colours broken out?
oh dont worry about halftoning
feel free to just point me at the right place in the forums or whatever, I'm just lost, lol
and if it's going into gallery or collections, its going to be dtg printed and in that case, halftonin would just cause printer issues
no I get the size restrictions. I mean are they looking for jpg, psd, what?
so don't halftone it, just submit it
if there was any issue with the file
okay now I'm MORE confused hahaha, I thought they said you had to use halftones to get shading
it's literally my job to email you
the no halftones is recent and we just started that
yeah just make your shirt however you want
just don't do any crazy distress or dithery textures
because that would make my life hell
THE SIX COLOR THING IS KIND OF A 'guideline'
if it gets in gallery or collection, it's gonna be dtg printed and that's infinite colors
do I still split the colours out on layers in the psd, I assume?
uuuummm work however you wanna work
however is easier for you
if it gets accepted and there's any issues, i'd just ask you directly
this is probably all pointless since I doubt it will be accepted - or sell if it does - but hey, worth trying, right? lol
if you want, i could take a look at the design and push you in the right direction!
i'm not in charge of accept/declines at all
but i know how shirts work :'D
lol i'm mostly just so pissed at this whole nonsense with Cap, and I loved Evans' reaction so much
I imagine it's probably too obscure, but my friend made me do it, lol
thank you for the help, you are amazing ^___^
we just declined like 5 of them today because of the controversy
buuuuuut you could throw that on Teepublic and Redbubble and def get that money money
because it would definitely sell
if you market it to the right people
lol probably not if there are five other submissions today alone
they weren't specifically that
but it was basically anything alluding to hydracap
aw thank you. Can't draw for crap but I can photoshop half decently, haha
I do crazy shit like this, lol
you know chichirinoda and I are posting a Snart/Bucky fic, right? Hee
i thought you guys were rping it
we did, and now I'm fleshing it out and we're posting it. Two chaps up already on AO3 ^_^
and another friend and I are doing a Steve/Felicity in the same universe, hence the banner lol
oh man
hee! Hoping to have chapter 3 up this weekend
how do you even market something like this, anyway? the design, I mean, heh
I guess social media presence. That thing I suck at
sometimess they market themselves but it's rare y'know?
i only have 600 followers on tumblr but thats the only place where i have a presence
i have an fb page and instagram too but im still not that active :X
your designs are awesome though ^_^
LOL thanks. they're still slim pickin's
how goes the job itself? Still enjoying it?
yeah! i mean it's got its issues like all jobs. The commute is hell for me, but its really fun!
we do dumb photoshoots and make dumb jokes about things
and the whole office makes fun of me and one other guy for being team iron man
AND NOW WE KEEP THROWING THE HYDRA THING IN THEIR FACES
heeee. Rub it in, you deserve it
