okay!

it's been brought to my attention that some people are super unhappy with the current endgame plot. in my rush to sort of get things over with i haven't been paying as much attention as i should have

that's on me

but we're going to default a great deal of elements back to the original plot eski suggested to me a few weeks ago

mainly negating the success of this rescue plan and putting it back on track to give the survivor pool the final decision to make

since their lack of agency was also brought up

BASICALLY our framework is like this:

- Key will be able to be nabbed w/o conflict, miata + hostages get out of the basement

- Miata never makes it to the hotel basement and hostages separated from main group

- Book gets lost or returned to Katerina

- Distractions only work for a certain amount of time

- At the end with everyone tied up the survivor pool will be ICly presented with a final decision of how to proceed

and that's the general outline. the decision made will lead straight to the end of the game

i think that's a good compromise. because the rescue plot had kind of a good endgame vibe to it what with just wrecking shit completely. but it felt...incomplete and kinda left a lot of people out.

yeah, i agree, because it still left a lot of mysteries unanswered that maybe only one or two characters had the ic answers to, but due to time or whatever never revealed to the rest of the characters
