I think there is? I know
HeathPevensey has mentioned trying to get the TD kit. There was a comment in a plurk a day or two ago about the owner being away due to some RL difficulties.
So it may be awhile before it can be sent?
HeathPevensey could probably tell you more though!
there is an application, you have to submit proof you make your own stuff and can rig it and such. it's very hard to get
Tiny_Spaces: I can't find the application, do you have a link.
As far as i know bit is not inworld, i've tried contacting her and contacting her through others, so it's probably just a waiting game
HeathPevensey: Oy >.> I wonder when she'll be back. How long have you been trying to apply for it.
a long time lol, i know she had some RL issues, which i found out about yesterday, they aren't known to many people i guess, so that has caused a delay in support
HeathPevensey: Aww I hope everything is ok with her and understandable rl first always.
Not sure if it's even worth it. The body she sends out is 5K and it's not the updated body.
Yes. That was what last I was told.
Might want to apply but ask her what version of the body she sends out first.
I still can't believe someone hasn't come out with a much better kid and toddler body yet. The TD body is okay enough, but certainly there could be one that improves upon it.
She may have changed that but I remember tons of people being ticked off over that.. Getting the old version of the body that had the bigger hands and feet and such.
aliciachenaux: Yes I wish there were better TD hands/feet like a slink version for littles.
Also I wish there wasn't such a big tummy sometimes
Loki Eliot makes a kid mesh body of various sizes, but the only clothes that fit it so far are his. I like being a tomboy, so I like a lot of his clothing, but I don't want to be that restricted in my choices.
I like more girly things sometimes also. However, if others started making things based off his body, there may be more choices. I don't know if he offers it to others though, and if so, if it's any cheaper.
bridipity: Loki's body is cool but seems to only really be for big kids and tom boys/boys
yeh, it seems to be male, but young kids figure are pretty similar and the head/face is your own, as in TD, so it should work pretty well. He has several sizes and one is toddler, but I've never tried it out to
see just how small it gets. Once I realized I couldn't use other clothes, I gave up on the idea.
Really it's adopting the new body that is the problem, someone could make an amazing mesh body, but the kid community has to adopt it, and toddleedoo has been designed for so long
yeh, true. Not many are going to want to abandon the TD body when that means having to buy all new clothing. It'd be nice if somebody could make a similar one that is compatible with TD clothing already made.
and make it available for purchase
AND make it at a cheaper price!
I'm not asking for much
Whoever comes up with a better body should also release a developers kit immediately.
I have a plethora of mesh bodies. The gripe I have with loki's is that the feet and hands are too big.
CrayonEater omg, I remember that now! I got his mesh feet years ago, before I was a TD, and they were HUGE! lol
bridipity: I have those feet too!! They were the major advancement in kid body parts!
I think people would switch to a new body if it was improved! Everyone switched from tiny tots. And adult avis switch all the time from maitreya, tmp, belleza etc. So what can't kids have more options too
It's not customers switching necessarily, because even though people spent alot on clothes, I can see people adopting, although it might bother me personally lol. It's designers having to once again
give up their stock, we've done it more than once now and it's hard to deal with. Now if the new body fit the toddleedoo clothes, that's a whole other ball game, but not having learned to
rig yet, i have no idea how possible that is lol
Well, that's the thing with SL, as you well know. You can't sit on your butt with your old stuff. You constantly have to be improving. If someone comes out with a better kid body, the first thing they should
do is release a developers kit to existing meshers. Then people can go from there. Having done the adult mesh body thing now, I've changed my wardrobe to fit bodies a few times. lol
And a lot of old designers couldn't, or wouldn't, keep up. Well, now they're out of business. You either are willing to work or you're not.
