She writes humorous mysteries. I've been a fan of hers for a while. (She did one that's set at a fan convention that's kind of fun, and kinder than most regarding things like fic and cosplay.)

(Also it's the only series I've ever read where the forensics guy is a furry. Everyone in the story is okay with this.)
