performance. Best way to keep track of the issue is to watch that JIRA. There is actually at least one workaround in the comments that has worked for some people.
The issue on the whole is very inconsistent. It only affects El Capitan+NVidia graphics, but it's not all El Capitan+NVidia graphics. And you can't know if you're one of them without trying.
anywhereexcepthere: You're sure it's the same issue and not a crash related to something else? For this particular issue, the crash is actually in the NVidia GEForce Driver.
If you know this to be the same crash, can you add your crash logs to the JIRA posted above? It would be important for the devs to know it is not NVidia-exclusive if it's to get fixed for all affected cards.
And if you don't know for sure, it would be useful to file a separate JIRA with crash logs. Someone can look at the crash logs to see what the root cause might be. If you're waiting for a fix for a crash other

i believe it is possible to bypass the login screen entirely by using login scripts at the operating system level, but I don't know how to do it, and it's not something the team supports.
