I've mentioned it sporatically in other related plurks through the years, but I doubt anyone remembers it.

When I was a kid, I fought......a lot.

I mean a whole lot.

Like, had a juvie record and was put on probation, a lot.

However, it wasn't that I was a bad kid.

There was a lot of bullying going on and, initially, I was told not to fight back and to tell the teacher.

You know. "Follow the rules".

After half a year of that, plus my mom coming to the school and them basically doing zilch to correct the issue....

I was given the go ahead to fight back.

So I basically had to bust heads from 4th grade to 6th. After that, bullies didn't see me as a target worth messing with.
