so whats been up

eh, I've been spreading myself too thin. Been having some problems with one of my foster kids.

ah...shame! I always wanted to foster...but worried to with a daughter

I worked in the school system for 4 years and so many of those poor kids come from abused homes and often repeated what they saw

I have always felt guilty for not going on and doing it, I've always wanted to foster or adopt

Sorry to hear about problems with the foster kids. DH & I always said we'd do foster care if I couldn't have kids.

Then we had the twins.

He wasn't taking his meds like he should, wasn't like him at all.

he's normally a good kid.

I know I'm a basket case when I don't take my meds, so...

just turned 17

I can understand the issues that might arise.

he's been in a program most of his life, and has done remarkably well with us this past couple of years.

teenage angst along with all the baggage, but it's all worth it.

I bet it is!!! I worked with a lot of foster kids, and also special needs and it has been by far my favorite job, well next to farming

how many foster kids do you have

can be hecktic sometimes, though, with all the therapy, meetings, social workers, court, etc

its a lot..have to be commited thats for sure

we have 2... the 17 yr old and an 18 yr old who's taking a couple of college cources, but otherwise is an internet potato

but making a difference in a childs life....nothing can outweigh that huh? how many u got?

it's something i've always wanted to do, but circumstances wouldn't allow

until i met my present husband... he always wanted to, too, but his exwife didn't want to.

I think I'd like to adopt but my kids are against it...guess they like being the only babies

the whole family would have to be in agreement, and i've been divorced so I am afraid that would be against me

plenty of single parents do foster care

half the population has been divorced, I've been twice. LOL

Ummm i top ya! I'm in a commited relationship..but not married they wouldnt like that I'm sure

we weren't married when we got our first kid

we've been together around 5 yrs, only married for 2

well......now that gives me something to seriously thinka botu!

2 foster kids, my 14 yr old daughter and my 25 yr old daughter... and my hubby

your an angel...I admire people who have opened their hear and homes to children who need them....hats off to you and your hubby

i dare say, you would provide a WONDERFUL life for these kids on the farm

we'll have to talk later about this!!! i unfortunately have to go add up all the money i have to spend for a craft show
