painfully so in some places.....like the color matching doesn't quite gel....and the infamous cantina scene really doesn't look right at all.

add in recent interviews and its way obvious that Lucas lost touch with his audience decades ago, and had little to no interest in finding it again. so sad =(

just watched phantom menace again (on purpose) and man is the dialogue & direction worse than i remembered....all tell, little show and painfully obtuse >_<

and while i love liam neeson, qui-gon was a condescending, self important jerk.

his midichilorian explanation is painful at best. it makes them sound worse than the concept actually is.

such a shame to see so many good actors trapped with such bad scripting
