Greetings my teacher friends - been a while since I've been here but I have a small dilemma that I believe you all can help me with and your feedback is very much appreciated

A few of you know I'm working on a 50-state mystery series and I've had to put the series on hold because I can't afford my illustrator. So here is my dilemma - I really want to get the series completed

but not being able to afford 50 books at the price I was being charged, I'm thinking of revamping the series. I need input on a direction to take it - condensing the series from 50 books to 5 or 10 or whatever

number in the series will work. I don't want anything to be too obvious as to which state is being described, I want to keep the fun and educational aspect and probably the game aspect of the already started

books. I have had 3 in the series published by a publisher; they came out of contract and then I republished the first one and went ahead while the second and third were still in contract published

the fourth, fifth and sixth in the series. If I continue with individual books for individual states I end up with a total of 50 books. If anyone has read what has already been published or if I've worked

What if you did the books by region or a couple per region. Just a thought. I teach fourth grade and these would be fun for our standards that are states and regions.
