It seems a little strange to me that there's less than 24 hours to vote in the poll before it closes.

there any particular reason the deadline couldn't be extended, for those who don't check the comms every day, and give more time for debate before people come to their decisions?

I have the mod post tag tracked, but I know not everyone does that.

Wow, I didn't even notice until you pointed that out. I'm going to have to raise the same objection. Especially considering these changes wouldn't even be implemented until January anyway, why?
