What would you guys say is a reasonable nightly budget for hotel accommodation?
It depends what the hotel offers. I think anywhere from $40-$90/Night is a good stay, of course depending where you stay.. it is more.
In bigger cities, or nicer hotels I expect to pay up to $130/Night
Glitterface: Ok thanks thats reassuring, i booked some accommodation for my trip next year and kind of went a bit over the budget my partner has set so i'll try to convince him its reasonable.
It averages out about $85 a night lol!
85 isnt bad for a nice hotel! In hollywood you cant even get the cheapest motel room for 85 
Anemysk: It's averaging out at 85 but the bulk of it is from the high season in Japan, but i think he's going to be pissed none the less
85/night is extremely inexpensive for a decent hotel in Los Angeles and Las Vegas both, for sure. Mostly it's just motels available at that price. I expect to pay 100-150/night

I'd be shocked if you could get a hotel room in Chicago for that little money. In London, I'd tell you to write a book about how you did it. It just depends where you're going.
