So I walk in Monday two minutes late and the District Manager is waiting there and has me come to the back with him. Now, I thought this was because the day before I had doubled this woman's trade in credit

because she was a sad mom looking to grab a christmas present for her son. We end up in the back and he says that Kevin has been fired pending investigation and then asked us to leave so he could bring in a cop

I texted Kevin and found out he had done something that had resulted in him sorta stealing money from gamestop. According to him gamestop didn't lose any money bc of reasons I dont really understand but the

point is he's gone.

The whole last week I had to help these volunteer fill-in managers find things and run the store and close while they tried to figure out who should replace Kevin

The obvious choice would be Hank. Hank has been there for 4 years and has been skipped over - according to him - 4 times up to that point. Well they thought it would be too hard training a new assistant manager

so they brought in Morgan as of today who I called to talk about my schedule

Yesterday Hank did not look pleased. I asked him why he wasn't picked and he was told that there wasn't really a reason besides the one that I just stated that Glenn who was filling in told me two days ago

which I think is bullshit

So now I'm the only one left alongside Jarred who was of the opinion last I spoke to him that if Hank wasn't gonna get promoted he was gonna leave

idk if he can do that since he's living on his own and eating one meal a day to stay afloat but we'll see

If he does, it leaves me with one permanent hire (Cody) who is a fucking asshole and the other three holiday hires

two of them are idiots tbh and George is smart but has another job and was a friend of Kevins so idk

Basically if someone is promoted, according to Hank, it should be me except my availability is pretty shitty which means Cody is next since he can work whenever but he's a jerk

So if Cody becomes my manager, I think I'm out. If he doesn't and it's someone else, then we'll see. But as of now, I can't work many more than about 32 hours without it being really hard on me

and next semester would be even worse since I'm looking at 19 credits

But all in all I would feel bad just bailing when the store is so desperate

So yeah. I guess we'll see what, if anything, Morgan has to say to me tomorrow but this whole week has been one big shit storm haha

haha yeah. It's been wild and busy since these new managers were just as lost as a new hire. They couldn't even find receipt paper. Damn Kevin returning games instead of trading them. This never would

have happened otherwise! The only reason I work there is bc I have fun. I don't need the money especially not with two other jobs so I decided that if it's more of a hassle than an enjoyment I'll leave
