keep calm & carry on
it would be strange not to be nervous.
I have to carry my costumes in my carry on. one is blac velvet, not too bulky...the other is a bear costume
kinda like a big furry onsie.
and three sets of make up...daily..street makeup, formal stage make up...and bear.
leaves very little space for undies
Maybe you can buy them when you get there.
Seriously, what do the other singers do? Do the veterans have any advice?
will have a checked bag too
everyone has a stuffed carryon. and a checked bag. one said a sweet adelines trip was worse than traveling with kids
for how much STUFF you end up needing.
because I also have to carry curling iron, curlers and setting gel, and hair spray...to get my fluffy hair.
stuff as much as you can in the checked bag!
I have, using the vacuum pavking bags to squeeze the costumes.
I want to get at least one pair of pants and two shirts in there, just in case
toiletries and clothes can be bought there if worse comes to worst.
but not the stage make up...
Check a bag, it's so worth the cost. I always check my bags and carry the important stuff in carry on...
I will be checking the big bag, but the chorus says I must do stage costumes and make up in carry on.
I have, tho I don't need a wheelchair, I think. ..I will have a cane and won't be able to lift the bad to the overhead bin
I will keep that in mind...I have already requested special assistance
Yes, my mom doesn't use a cane or a wheelchair, but she requests a wheelchair for transfers in the airport. She tells them it's because of the arthritis in her hip, and that's part of it. But mostly she just
walks really slow and gets breathless. Plus they will hold the plane if they know a wheelchair is coming.
I think the first time I asked her to do it for me, because she only had an hour layover and I would worry about her making her connection. But she saw how much it helped her and asks for it herself.
