Watching Strange and Norrell finally connect was such an amazing emotional payoff.

I actually don't recall being that giddy about it in the book! It seemed like I was flipped, here: I liked watching Lady Pole and Stephen be freed, but I guess the book being richer I thought the

tv series felt restrained in comparison.

As a result, the more intimate moments, like Norrell quietly saying 'it is cruel to laugh...' really resonated more. (That was pure 18K gold, btw. It felt like we could see his whole life just unfurl.)

It did. He worked so hard, but he worked at things the wrong way and then it all came undone...

Everything he did was motivated by fear! And then he finally just. Let it all go and it was like a light coming on. What a peach.

Strange was amazing, ofc. KISS OF TRUE LOVE!!!!! And tbh all I want now is Lady Pole (will she get divorced, or is she still Lady Pole????), Arabella and Flora Greysteel becoming bffs and witches.

They would be the best teamup...
