may i suggest the Eli Monpress novels by Rachel Aaron

it's fantasy

and involves a main character who is a wizard and a thief

and in the first book we start out with him kidnapping a king

and he also makes friends with trees and rocks and stuff

and it also has two really cool strong female characters Miranda and Nico (a wizard lady and a not quite a demon respectively)

the author also writes really amazing fight scenes

with spirits and magical weapons

also despite the strong female mains there's no romance at all

it's just glorious adventure

that sounds cool

and the conflicts of the spirit world and human world clashing

it is so cool

if you get the time you should read it

i'll look into it for sure

you will not be disapointed

how many books are there?

and i'm the fifth and final volume and the ending of the forth is just so intense

technically there are five books but the first three have been gathered into a single volume

I'm planning on making an account for one of the characters as soon as I'm done with the last volume

either Josef the world's best swordsman who is just grumpy and awesome and will rip a support beam from the floor while laughing liek a maniac and charging into a room full or soldiers
