I think maybe there's been just the right amount of stressy external stuff (fleas, mosquitoes, etc) that we haven't fallen out.

If that makes sense? Like, having external problems to focus on has meant we've got on really well.

They've been with me for a week, and have just gone off to a national park for a few days.

Rodeo was great. Driving up (3 hr dive each way) with them and me and my wife... was GREAT!

It was pissing down. Loads of flood warnings. A river nearby rose 17ft in 30 minutes, 33 ft in 6 hours. Thousands are without homes.

That's feet, not inches. The river went up about as high as a three story house. Bridges, houses and towns washed away. It rained nearly a foot, some places.

So it was a fun drive, through that, and the (indoor, thankfully!) rodeo was pretty fun.

And then the drive home was fun. LOUD, because rain. And SLOW, because vision. But FUN! Got home at nearly 2am.

Yup. And then it was quiet for a day (while they rented a car and drive off to the west) and now we're getting tornadoes and houses washed away. REALLY glad they drove out yesterday rather than today.
